PARIS, Sept. 19. A communique states that the Allies' left made progress near Noyon, and held all th© heights on the right bank of the Aisne. Th© Germans ar© apparently reinforced from Lorraine, and still hold the trenches m the centre. The Crown Prince's army continues to retreat. Th© French advance m Lorraine continues methodically. Later. — Both sides are strongly entrenched, and a battle is proceeding at various points along the whole line, with an indecisive result.
