DOMINION nACiNG CONFERENCE
(Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., last night. A rciireseutativc conference of delegates from the Wellington, Hawke's Bay Taranaki, and Wanganu! districts, convened by the Manawalu Racing Club, met m Palmerston to-night to consider mattere connected with the government of racing 'm New Zealand, of the 18 clubs invited to attend. 15 were represented. Mr J. H. P. Strang (president of the Manawatu Racing Club) presided. An able paper Avas read by Mr J. Goring Johnston dealing Avith the advisability of altering the constitution of the Racing Conference. After discussion, the following resolution, proposed by Mr A. E. Whyte (Wellington), and seconded by Mr J. E. Gleadow (Napier .Park), was passed: "That this meeting approve of the proposal to .liter the present constitution of the New Zealand 'Racing' Conference, avKJi the object of giving proportionate direct representation to all totalisator clubs, and that the New Zealand Racing Conference bo -requested to nominate a committee to draft the nocossary consequential amendments to the rules "Of racing! and report to a meeting of the Conference to be held during January. 1915, m Wellington.
