The Invercargill Competitions Society has again an excellent entry for the forthcoming festival. Details show keen competition m the leading classes. Tlie aggregate figures are : Music 982, elocution 393, literature; drawing, writing, spelling, and sewing 371 ; physical drill, dancing and half-hour entertainments 367— total, 2114. Tlie judges this year are Messrs Montague (elocution) and Gregson (music), of Auckland.
