A lengthy meeting of the Poverty Bay Football Association management committee was held last evening. Mr E. W. Harvey presiding over a good attendance.
The N.Z. Football Association wrote informing the Association that m future all business between the N.Z.F.A. and tlie P.B.F.A. must be, conducted by tlie respective secretaries.
Several alterations to the rules controlling tlie Brown Shield: matches were agreed to.
The. Associatloh have been allotted No. 1 ground on the Reserve, situated next Disraeli street.
There will be no Thursday competition matches next week on account of the holidny. -
The permission of Ihe Rugby Union to use the Domain for Thursday matches was received with thanks.
E. . SHarples applied to he transferred from the County to the Taruheru Club. Permission was refused, as the application had heen received after the close of the first round, and.. a transfer granted now would be a breach of the rules. Players of the Taruheru and V.M.A.C. clubs have been requested to arrange tlielr match for the Taruheru ground next Saturday, as Newstead is still unplayable. The County match will have to be played on the Reserve,
Tho chairman and ' treasurer were granted power to sign cheques. "
Various complaints against five playe;*s were Inquired htfo and dealt with. The most serious was alleged persistence m rough play, for which tlie offender was suspended for \the rest or the season. Two others were cautioned for minor offences, one was suspended for seven ■days for striking an opponent, and one was suspended for' an indefinite period for inciting a player to fight.
