POLAR TESTS.

SIR E. SHACKLETON'S PLANS

Sir Ernest Shackleton and five members*^ of his expedition are going to the Norway glaciers, where blizzards, similar to those experienced m the Antarctic, are common. They will test motor sledges, wear Polar kits, and exist on sledging, rations. Their vessel, the Endurance, arrives at London tliis month. She is a beautiful specimen of wooden shipbuilding. The Aurora will be delivered at Hobart at the end of August and will sail for the Antarctic m November. Most of the expedition will sail by the Endurance m August.
