House last evening to witnessthe. screening, of the magnificent series of: pictures iiom* showing- The programme opens with- a -special number . of the .N.Z. Animated Gazette, M-ith some splendid interesting news from all parts of ■ the Dominion. Following this were scenes takeii from some of the daring faat's performed . by.- tlie famous Lucca CVtvajVy- The outstanding feature qf tho bill is a sensational play by tlie Kalem Company, \"The Chinese Death Thorn." A full description of this exciting drama has appeared in these columns before. Tlie picture found much favor last evening, and was \vell applauded at its close. Keystone players had the people laughing/ heartily at their antics in. "The Gusher." This picture is as good a eomedy as has been here for a. long time; and will take a lot' of beating. Pathe's .Gazette is fiill of good thingsj and contains the very latest fashions so mucli admired by the ladies. "The Clqthes Line, Quarrel" is a pretty cortiedy dealing with a neighbors' feud, diid showing it happily ended by the younger members, of tj)e two families. Gaumont's beautifully . colored t study "Plants and Flowers" is a charming subject, capably executed and presented. This magnificent series Mill be screened for the. last time to-night, so that anyone not having seen the programme should do so to-night.
