MURDER OF MR. BENTON. ' (Received April 7, 11.35 a.m.) MEXICO CITY, April 6. Zapata captured the Bishop of Chalpa and is holding him a prisoner in the vicinity of Guerero. He is demanding fifty thousand pesos as a ransom, otherwise he will 'oruoify him on Good Friday. As the outcome of the Carranza Commission, Major Ferrero has been sentenced to be executed for murdering Benton. Ferrero lias been degraded in the army and imprisoned. It-appears that General Villa merely imprisoned Benton. Ferrero waylaid Benton en route to the prison, and shot him aboard the* train.
