SHOOTING ACCIDENT.

A YOUTH WOUNDED

A youth named Fred. Fletcher, aged 15, met witli a painful accident on the Gray brothers were going pig-hunt-station yesterday. The boy and one of the Bray brothers were going pig-hunt-ing, and prior to setting out, Mr Gray was explaining the mechanism of a new rifle. The method of extraction of the cartridge was being demonstrated, when suddenly the cartridge exploded, and the bullet entered Fletcher's left arm just below the elbow, and passed on into the abdomen, where it remained. The lad was immediately Temoved to Mr Kemp's homestead, and Dr. Davis was summoned. It was ascertained todav that the bullet had not been extracted, but the patient was progressing favorably under the circumstances.
