HAWKE'S BAY LAND BOARD.
The periodical local meeting of the Hawke's Bay Land Board was -held today, there being present : Messrs W. H. Skinner (Cmmissioner of Crown Lands), R\ B. Ross, and G. Wright. TRANSFERS. Mrs A. M. Robb to A. M., J. A. and H. F. Robb, section 6, block 6, Ngatapa, 1920 acres. Mr A. Trevor" Coleman appeared m support, explaining that Mrs Robb desired to take her aon and brother-in-law into the lease of the property. — Recommended for approval of Minister. , 0. Swarbrick to 0. and J. G. Swarbrick, section 18, block 1, Waikohu, 722 acres. Mr Coleman appeared m support, explaining that the request had been refused by the Board 18 months ago because thc residential conditions had not been complied with. This had since been fulfilled.— Recommended for aproval. APPLICATIONS FOR FREEHOLD. Mrs E. P. Fisher (executrix), sections 7 and 8, block 3, 1.i.p., Motu, 308 acres. — Granted. T. Bloomfield, J. and E. H. Sutherland (executors), section 4, block 10, Whangara, 1.i.p., 702 acres.— Granted. W. Bruce, s.g/r. 147, run 44a, Waingaromia, 1366 acres.— Defered till next meeting. E. J. Chrisp, s.g.r. 137, run 45, Waingaromia, 1060 acres.— Deferred till next meeting. The Crown' Lands Ranger submitted reports upon Kanakanaia, Ngatapa, Pouparae, Te Arai, Clydebank, Waimarae, Willows, and Wigan Settlements.—Appr6ved. CORRESPONDENCE. The Opotiki County Council submitted a scheme for. expenditure of •■thirds," £214 2s 3d.— Approved. Mrs B. Moar applied for postponement of payment of arrears of rent, Waimare settlement, section 10, block B.— Declined. '- The Waikohu County Council applied tohave section 2, 1 rood 35 perches, set aside and handed over as a stock-resting paddock. — The Crown Lands ranger recommended that the Council should have section 11 or 13. — Recommended that the Council accept section 11. Mr J. W. Nolan appeared m support of the application of -his son, H. C. Nolan, for an •exemption from personal residence of Tuahu, run 84, s.g.r., and to reside on the adjoining land.— Two years' residence provided he resides on his brother's adjoining run. John Jamieson applied for Hikurangi block 16 (Puraparakohitia block), 40 acres, as unsurveyed land, under o.r.p. tenure. — Recommended for approval. The Crown Lands ranger submitted a report upon Gisborne town section 36a,' 1_ acres, education endowment 159, lessee W. J. Hamon. Date of expiry of lease 31st December, 1915 (section, recently occupied by Mr Peacocke). — Received, consideration deferred. The ranger submitted an interim report upon section 133, Gisborne town (at present occupied by the Strand Cafe, Gunn's, Erskine's and Bon Marche). He estimated tlie value of buildings at £2100.— The Board decided to view the property with a view to deciding how it should be re-leased. The property is an education endowment.
