In accordance with tho recommendation of the Post and Telegraph Officers' Association, the Public Service Commissioners have. agreed to create the following new positions: — Senior mail clerk at T-almerston North, assistant parcels clerk* at Christchurch and Dunedin. parcels clerks at Invercargill and Wan gamti. parcels and accounts clerks at Auckland and Wellington, delivery clerk at Dunedin, stamps clerks at Auckland and Wellington, assistant clerics m charge of letter carriers ,at Auckland. Christchurch and Welhngton, f-econd money order and savings bank clerks at Timaru, Gisborne aiid Now Plymouth, and senior, telegraphist at Hamilton, Hastings and Masterton. The Commissioners also indicated that they approved of a recommendation that the following positions be raised a. grade: Foreign niaij clerk at Auckland, fniiior clerk at the Chief Post. Office at Auckland, senior parcels clerks at Christchurch and Dunedin. and senior despatch clerks at Auckland, Wellington. XThristchurch, and Dunedin. Tho. position of several postmasters at nib-offices is also to .he raised a erade.
