These show that the expansion of the world's wheat acreage m 1910-11 received a severe check m 1912, when, the British Empire declined by 2,287,000 acres and Europe by 2*024,000 .acres, chiefly m Russia, while the United States lost 729,000; '-, " " '. In the live stock returns Australasia's reduction of 9,384,000 animals is the largest noted. The decline m European stock is very marked)
