GREECE GAINING STRENGTH.
(Press Assn.— By Telegraph— Copyright.) CONSTANTINOPLE, Feb. 16. The Porte's reply to the Powers regarding the Aegean Islands regrets the Powers' inadequate consideration of tha Turkish Empire's vital needs m connection with the islands adjacent to the Dardanelles and the failure of the Powers to devise a solution which might have avoided' all serious difficulties, and adds : "The Porte seeks the realisation of her just and reasonable demands." ATHENS, February 16. M. Venezelos (Premier) m giving his impressions of his European toiir, said ' he anticipated a modification of the frontier of Epirris, and added that there was a close understanding between Greece, Roumania and Servia to assure the maintenance of the status quo m the Balkans and make Graeco-Turkjish complications impossible.
