TURANGA CHURCH FETE.
Mr Chas. Gray's picturesque hush at Waiohika will again be the scene Of; thbj Turanga Church Fete, which takes place on Thursday. Given fine weather this popular outdoor event should be largely attended. 'An energetic ..committer..: has been at work for some time making preparations for the function, and an enjoyable outing should be provided.' - There, will be a programme *of norse events, including tilting at the ring and bending competition for ladies. Owing: to the lengthy . programme the sports will commence at 11 a.m. There will be numerous side attractions, whilst, several stalls will be m evidence. LuncK will be^ provided on the ground, also afternoon tqa, whilst the evening meal , will be, provided fuee. Not Only, is it ex^ pccted there will be a large gathering of country residents, but also towns; people.. The motor 'bus leaves the Post Office at 12.30 and 2 p.m. -The 'social which wag to. have .been,. held, m the evening has been postponed until" fur" ther notice. ' * .-*.--.
