WOULD FIGHT FOR BRITAIN

Mr Lynch, m the House of Commons, said that since the Boer war England had done much for South Africa and Ireland. If Britain was ' attacked he ■would now fight for her. Mr Arthur Lynch (Nationalist M:P. for dare since 1909) is an Australian by birth, having been born at Smytheadale, Victoria. By profession he is a physician and author. In 1900 he served with the Boer forces, and took part against the British m several engagements. Charged with higfh treason, he was eentenced to death m 1905. The sentence was commuted to penal servi* tude for life, and Mr Lynch was released on license the following year, receiving a free pardon m 1907. ,
