The heat wave continues over the jreater -part of the Cpmmonwealth. Many very high registers have been recorded, including 119 degrees at Bourke. The Olympic Games Australasian comnittee issues to-day an appeal to the public to contribute to the proposed fund of £10,000 to train and equip a :eam. It is expected the number will 3e approximately 60, representative of ill branches of athletics. Already 8349 has been promised. It is hoped t,he Government will again contribute. Amateur sport will be strictly preserved m tho training of competitors. \
