Ybr \ l he Northcote Cup,'., tlie second race to windward and. back, "twice round, was won by Rawhiti H., which therefore retains the trophy m New South Wales. Tlie weather was troublesome, calms being interspersed by choppy wind, with strong gusts and rain; The race was exciting .throughout. The Victorians showed fine seamanship. Both at times apparently held winning chances. The Rawhiti was finely handled and proved her superiority under trying conditions. The Killara was handicapped m the final stages owing to the mainsail splitting. The Rawhiti won by; two minutes twenty-five seconds; Rip beating Killara by six minutes eighteen seconds..
