Any infraction of this cardinal rule involes a monetary penalty. Tho club is well-appointed and luxuriously equipped. It is furnished with billiards, chess, cards, and other games.. Gesture is the only medium of intercoursef-among it's .members. The. same rigid regula- | tion obtains at the club buffet and ir j the dinjng-room, as well as m the libI fary and general rooms. Orders are conveyed to the silent waiters by moans of tablets they carry.
