The horses were well bunched together, Mistie being slightly m the lead. There was a great race over the last furlong. Caher Davon dashed up on the outside, and Glouria "put m a fast run. Mistie and 'Jaher Davon .raced along on apparently even terms, and the finish was almost a dead heat, ■Mr Williams' geldiiyj gaining the verdict by inches. Glouria finished two lengths 'behind Mistie, leading Hima by a neck. Chortle was fifth, Patti next, and San Tnego last.
