Continuing their first innings, the New Zealandfrs totalled 232, Patrick (who was not out yesterday) giving a capital exhibition. Their opponents found the bowling of Sandman and Sneddon too good. The latter was especially deadly, securing the remarkable average of 3 for 1. They were disposed of for 100, New Zealand thus winning by an innings and 40.
