ANGLO-AMERICAN JOURNALISTS.
ADVISED TO TRAVEL. (Press Assn.— By Telegraph— Copyright.) (London Times-Sydney Sun Special Cables) LONDON, December 16. Mr Page, the American Ambassador, m a brilliant and well-reasoned speech at the Institute of Journalists' dinner, urged British and American journalists to visit other countries every two years and obtain an idea as to other people's ways of doing things. A British journalist should write a leader on something about America and take . it across the Atlantic, and then see what a fool he had made of himself. He proposed that when England and America celebrated the 100 yeara' peace, a number of responsible and teachable journalists should go to the United States and stay some time and gain an inside knowledge of American newspapers, and tell them why they were mismade, frankly helping them to .understand the spirit and civilisation of England. He hoped a similar thing would be brought about" from America.
