STRONG MOVEMENT TO HAVE HIS MAJESTY VISIT CANADA.

OTTAWA, July 30. Compiled reports received from Government engineers from Halifax to Prince Rupert show that the sum of £26,000,000 has been actually paid out on Grand Trunk Pacific' construction so far, and that the total-, when the road is completed m September, 1914, will reach the enormous figure of £33,000,000. ; Except for the section between Cochrane and Quebec . the work' is now practically complete, and it is expected that .trains will be running over the road into 'Quebec early next 'spring, if not sooner. - A strong movement to have Ring iGeorge visit Canada m. 1914 officially to open the road is on foot. It has been suggested that the King and President Woodrow Wilson meet at come point on the border of the two countries.
