FIGHT WITH GIPSIES.

An encampment of gipsies at Montpelier (France) caused disturbances and they opened fire on a body of gendarmes ordered to expel them. One gendarme was killed and four were wounded. During a wild flight across country the gipsies abandoned 20 carts. One* hundred and fifteen gipsies were arrested.
