Police at Leith escorting a train from tlie I docks to the Caledonian station, • were stoned by two thousand strikers. Three policemen were injured when endeavoring to disperse the strikers with their batons. (Received July 18, 9.35 a.m.) LONDON, July 17. The Leith dockers rioted, breaking a - hundred shop windows and stoning the police. A considerable amount of looting took place. The police made a baton charge, and dispersed tho rioters. Eleven police were injured. Thirty persons were taken to the hospital.
