BIBLE IN SCHOOLS.

Tho Rev. P. W. Clarkson conducted the concluding meeting of his Gisborne campaign at Matiwhero Presbyterian Church last evening. The Roy. Mr Blair presided, and there was a good attendance. The lecturer dealt with the object of the Bible-in-Sc'.idols League, the Bible, and the present opposition to the movement. A resolution approving of the League and pledging the support of j the n>eeting was unanimously adopted.] The meeting was enthusiastic t'hroughdut, and at the conclusion Mr Clarkson expressed his thanks for the sympathetic hearing accorded him at * the various meetings. A vote of thanks was passed to the lecturer for his comprehensive and interesting address. • Subsequently the reverend gentleman received many expressions of goodwill at the close of the campaign. He returns to Niipier by; this evening's steamer for the organisation of a "campaign m the Hawke's Bay and Wairoa districts, afterwards returning to Taihape for a few days before .continuing his mission m the- Bay of Plenty^ Rotorua, Waikato. and Auckland districts. - .-
