The r ßeebe Minstrels provided ai|othei bright entertainment at the Opera House last night, and fully maintained the popularity already achieved: Therewas a change of programme last night, and each item, from the merry opening chorus, was warmly applauded. While thof spirit of. merriment is kept -up all I through, there is plenty of Variety to suit the different tastes catered for m the "Polite Vaudeville do Luxe," as the programme puts it. The minstrels got off many new jokes, which were handled m very droll fashion, and the, colored gentlemen provided plenty of fun. There was -some capital dancing, . from the "india rubber" achievements and eccentric dancing of th© gentlemen to the tip-toe dancing, m which "Rubee Raymond proved such an expert. Misses Ella Conrad and Ruby Cox. again gave much pleasure by their vocaj solos, and ducts, sungyts;in a. first class, concert entertainment. M.'lss Lillie and- Mr Wal. Rockloy delighted the audience with their clever performances, and 1 also with their solo work, with the support of tho colppany m chorus. Messrs Will. White, W. Fairbank, and Geo. Spilker proved very popular, the "india rubber" dancer being a .crant favorite. Mr George Walton .and the Musical BartleUs contributed a. good deal towards, the entertainment, and the Acrobatic Arteens, with their splendid feats, had a. big share m making the great, success of the., second. part of the programme. Iveilderson's mimicry, ventriloquism,' and representations of, notable characters evoked much applause. It : ' was remarkable to observe -how quickly, mainly by facial expression and with the aid of an old hat rim, he could pose for different individuals famous m history, while his Dickensonian character was a- distinct triumph. The vocalists all sang new songs, and Miss fonrad, for An fencore, scored a great success by singing' the old. favorite, "Killarney." The programme altogether' proved very attractive. This afternoon a matinee wass given, and tonight the company conclude . the Gifborne season ,-with an' entertainment that should attract a large' attendance of country people who could not get into town during the other nights, and of course the usual large town audience can be relied on to tako the opportunity to enjoy the bright entertainment given by the minstrels.
