A complaint respecting the forwarding of mail matter from Auckland via the Main Trunk was brought under the nobics of the Chamber of Commerce yesterday, but no action was taken m tho matter. Referring to the subject to-day, the Chief Postmaster, Mr Renner, stated that mails were forwarded frem Auckland by the Main Trunk on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, reaching Gisborne qh Wednesday morning, Friday morning (pr Ripple), and Saturday morning. There was thus no delay with the mails m consequence of thi- withdrawal of the Takapuna, provided the Ripple maintained its usual regular running.
