AUCKLAND, this day.

A degai point of interest to commercial men was considered by Mr Justice Cooper at the Suprenie Court yesterday. Johnson, Garnett and Co., of Christchurch, are indent agents representing Richards, Ltd., canvas manufacturers, of Aberdeen. The first-named firm sends round travellers, and accepts ordera which are fulfilled by Richards, Ltd., from Aberdeen. The action was begun by Marks and Co., of Auckland, m respect to the alleged non-fulfilment of three large orders given m this, way. Richards, Ltd., are applying to havo the proceedings set aside, on the grounds that they are not carrying on business m New Zealand. After nearing legal atgument on the subject, his Honor reserved his decision.
