PROWESS OF THE LADIES. LONDON, June 6. The second round of the ladies' golf championship disclosed the fact that several players were able to cover 400 '■ yards with two wooden shots. Many others wero able to pitch the ball right ■ to the hole -with the mashie, and needed , only one putt to hole out.
