' iy^il nLast evening witnessed one of the largest gatherings of the Masonic fraternity yet held in Gisborne, on the occasion of the consecration of the fine new. lodge-room that has just ; been add- ! ed to the Masonic buildings in Childers road, and also for the installation of Bro. W. Pettie as Worshipful Master of [Lodge Turanganui, 1480 E.C, and the investiture of various officers of the lodge. The consecration service wag conducted by Wor. Bro. E. R. Bloomfield, D.S.G.W., assisted by Wor. Bro. J. W. Wiseman, D.J.G.W.,' Wor. Bro. W. W. Daw, D.G.S., and Wor. Bro. T. Gresham, P.D.S.G.W. (all ftf Auckland), of the English Constitution, and the following worshipful brethren of Lcd"e Montrose, 722, S.C. : Wor. Bro. A. G. Beere, D.G.M.D., Wor. Bro. T. Ellery, D.S.G.W., Wor, Bro. W. H.
