THE HOLIDAY ELSEWHERE.
FINE WEATHER GENERALLY PREVAILS.
(Per. Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. There is beautiful weather for the holiday.
The only function in Wellington was a parade of troops. There waa a large turn-out of territorials and cadets, and a royal salute was fired, ending up with cheers for his Majesty. The marching of many of the companies was remarkably good, and was applauded by the spectators.

There was glorious weather for the holiday. There was a good turn-out of territorial* at the birthday parade. The H-Midav attractions include representative football, Northern Union game,
Wanganui v. Hawke's Bay, a seven a-side Rugby tournament, a hockey tournament, shooting for the Coleman shield, and Stone's aviation flight. DUNEDIN, this clay. The fog entirely disappeared, and the weather is gloriously fine for the holiday, which is onlv partially observed. CHRISTCHURCH, this day.
The morning broke dull, but the prospects improved for the holiday towards noon. The first function was a parade of senior cadets and territorials at Hagley Park. There was a very fair muster. A big seven-a-side tournament is being held at Lancaster Park by the Canterbury Rugby .Union. A ladies' hockey tournament" is being held this afternoon. The other attraction is the Canterbury Park Trotting Club's meeting.
