The fairly large gathering of spectators who assembled at the Victoria Domain on Saturday afternoon witnessed two hard-fought and interesting games of football, when the first round m the senior competition was concluded. United defeated V.M.P. on No. 1 ground, and Kaiti-City disposed of Garrison on No. 2 ground. United now have three wins to their credit, with no losses, giving them 6 points; Kaiti-City have had one win, one draw and one loss— 3 points; V.M.P. one win and two losses— 2 points; Garrison no wins, one draw and two losses — 1 point.
