Northerly gales were blowing to-day at Russell, Taurangru, and Farewell Spit, and fresh breezes at many other stations. Rain was falling at Auckland, Taupo, * ' Cape Campbell, and Westport, passing showers at Cape Palliser, Wellington, and Greymouth, and drizzling rain at Dunedin, Timaru, and Bluff. STATE OF THE SEA.
