■• • It will be aeen that the prospectus of thd Poverty Bay Farmers' Co-opera-tivd Aasociation is published m this issue. The memorandum of association. which forms part of the prospectus, is iiot, however, published, but ia to be seen on all copies of the prospectus which are issued to the public. Statutory provision does not require the memorandum of association to be included . m the advertisement. A perusal of the memorandum wiU tjhow that tho directors themselves are subscribing to the undertaking to the extent of £8300, and they are taking up more than one-third of the minimum subscription of 12,000 shares. While the Company is primarily intended for the benefit of the farming community, the prospectus reveals that the requirements of the ordinary investor^ money have hot been forgotten. Paragraph (b) under the heading ÜbifxjtTof the Company" < ffldicates that "4 fair rate of interest to holders of .glares on their investment of share capitar will be given. The Company is therefore open to the public, although to entitle a shareholder to the benefits of co-operation as -regards business done he must be a farmer and qualified.
