A BOASTFUL BURGLAR.
"THE KING OF THIEVES."

The armed and masked man who, on Tuesday evening, at Rose Bay, terrorised and locked up |Alderman Kelly's servants, and secured a quantity of silverware, left a note signed, "The King of Thieves."
This morning the Sun newspaper received a telephone call, asking if it had heard anything of a burglary at the residence of Mr Kerr, a bookmaker at Coogee.
The speaker declared himself to be "The King of Thieves."
The Sun communicated with Mr Kerr, who, on examining his office, found that it had b6en burgled and £50 worth of postal notes, and cheques stolen.
A note signed "Tho King of Thieves" was left on the table, thanking, Mr Kerr for some cigars appropriated.
A man has been arrested in tho city with some of the missing property in his nossession. ! .
