Levuka adviies that tho inter-island steamer Ripple towing the wrecked schooner Lyman D. Foster is safe at anchorage at Totoya.

A previous message stated that the schooner Lyman D. Foster, bound from Puget Sound to Suva with a million feet of lumber, was caught in a hurricane off Twisle Island, in the Lau Group, on the 15th ult., and dismasted. The rudder and all boats were damaged, and a third of the cargo was swept away. Captain Hillman and 16 of the crew built a raft, nnd abandoned the ship on the Thursday, and reached the island of Kabnra. Thence they took a cutter to Levuka, arriving on the Sunday.
