KAITI SCHOOL.
The initial meeting 1 -6f the newly-elect-ed Kaiti School Committee was held last evening, there being present: Messrs J. Hay (chairman), J. R. Kirk, A. Park, W. S. Dudson, and Chas. Fraser (sec). Before proceeding with the business of the meeting, committeemen joined m congratulating Mr Kirk upon his election to the Mayoralty. Mr Kirk suitably replied. It was 1 reported that thie erection of a breastwork to the creek through the school grounds 'having been completed, the grassing of the bank -would be proceeded with. Various minor matters were authorised to be 'carried out by the Visiting Committee, Messrs^ Pai-k and Ffaser. It was announced that a concert in' aid of the school funds was being organised !by- the teachers. ' In the course of his report the headmaster (Mr J. H. Bull) stated that the attendance -had been affected by the recent bad weather and sickness. Miss Gamble' had been absent through illness, and her sister had been acting m her place.' '■." s The committee decided to' meet on the second Wednesday each, month.
