BUILDING SMASH IN LONDON.

LONDON, April 25. An awful smash occurred to-day at a building m. course of erection m Hoi- # bom. Some large steel girders were being hoisted by means of a derrick to a , staging 90ft above the street level. One load was fairly on its way up to the platform, when, owing to a sudden lurch, the chain snapped, and the heavy mass of metal came crashing down into the street below. A man and a youith were killed, and two other persons were. seriously injured.
