AUCKLAND EXHIBITION.
GISBORNE'S OPPORTUNITY. Citizens and representatives of local bodies interested m the proposed Gisborne court at the forthcoming Auckland Exhibition are reminded of the meeting to be held at the Borough Council Chambers at 3 p.m. to-morrow, when his Worship the Mayor requests a representative attendance. There seems little doubt but that the Exhibition is going to be a great success, aJnd should to-morrow's meeting allow the proposal to fall through for want of a little public spirfbedness on the part of local citizens, the scores of Gisbornites who are sure to visit the "Queen City of the North" during the Exhibition season will be loud m their criticism if there is not a Gisborne court* setting forth the claims and merits of this rich and fertile portion of the Dominion, side by side with the district courts of other localities. That the district has products to produce and population to attract there can, suirely be no room to question. Several of the local bodies have intimated their readiness to assist, and it is sincerely to be hoped that citizens who are enthusiastic m the welfare and future progress of the district will not allow the proposal to fall through.
