THE FRIEDMANN CURE.
SPECIALITY NOT FOR SALE. Consumption is being treated with marked success by the Victorian health authorities "(says the Melbourne Argus). Far more patients are now under treatment than Avas the case a few months ago, but this is officially declared to bo the direct lcsult of the medical successes. It is a matter of regret to the Victorian Minister for Health (Mr Edgar) and his advisers that a supply of the serum Avliich Dr, Friedmann is stated to be employing -with wonderful results to consumptive patients at his hospital m Berlin could not be purchased for experimental purposes. Dr. Friedmann Avas' written to on the subject, but replied that his speciality was not for sale, and that only those persons who placed themselves directly under his care Avould receive the benefit of it. At least one Melbourne consumptive is facing the fatigue of a journey to Germany to test the neAv cure.. This patient, a man, called upon Mr Edgar a few days ago and obtained from him a letter of introduction to Dr. Friedmann. He is m the incipient stage of the disease, and is hopeful of being completely restored to health after a few months' treatment.
