Will communicate further concerning entering: port of Lyttelton." Previously Mr Williams had suggested to the Mayor that a special meeting of the committee should be called, and that further representations should bo made to the JPrime Minister. Accords ingly the Mayor telegraphed to. Mr Massey : ' 'Citizens of Christchurch strongly urge that H.M.S. New Zealand should visit Lyttelton first after Wellington."
