In any ease the amendment endangers the passage of the Bill, forcing the Liberals to fight tho n-2xt election without abolition of the plurality vote. The position is somewhat chaotic. If Mr Dickinson's amendment is defeated many Liberals and Laborites Avill oppose Mr Lyttelton's as .tending to endow Unionists Avith a new form of . plurality. . _
