RUSSIAN SHOP ASSISTANTS.
LONDON, Jan. 10. The Russian Council of the Empire has passed a Shop Hours Bill, under which places of business are required to close on Sundays, holidays, and on occasions of Church festivals. The only places to which the measure will not apply are restaurants, provision shops, and reading rooms. JStew legislation further provides that employees under the ago of 15 years must work only eight hours ; and never at night.
