I < Tlie semi-finals of the electric light bowling tournament Were played off at the Turanganui Bowling Club's green last night, un-ier the •most favorable weather; conditions. There was again a good attendance, including a number of members of the Gisborne Bowlfng 1 Pltibf all Ot whom were, enthusiastic on . the excellent lighting of the green and the keen manner in which it played. Following aro the result* of the games played :— Col ley (skip), Hay, Skilldn, Glendinning 21, beat Spiers (skip), Bruce, Leydon, Maher 18; F. Gray (skip), P.Howard,, Dooley, Jennings 20, defeated Neill, Arnold, Eaton, Dudfield 13; Wootton (skip), Thelwall, McConnell, Somervell 22, defeated Paltridge (skip), Jeune, Matthewson. McSkimming 17. : The final between F. Gray's and Colley's rinks, will be playei to-morrow night, starting sharp at 7.30, and judging by the. play of both teams a real good gairte:! ulay be .ex- • pected. .- ■-. ■ . ;' I Mr Lockie having resigned from the position of secretary, Mr Spiers, an enthusiastic bowler and a general favorite with- members, has been appointed in- his place. : . j
