Four prisoners were sentenced by the Chief Justice to-day. Clarenjce Percival Wills, a. young man who had admitted charges of theft, and breaking and entering at. Foxton, was ordered to be $ent to Invercargill for reformative treatment for 12 months. Ralph Bal- ' combe, on a charge of breaking and ; entering and theft, was similarly dealt with. For theft, from the person at Masterton, George Alfred Smyth was -sentenced to 10 months' imprisonment, with hard labor.
