THE WORK OF PARLIAMENT.
(Special to the Herald.)
WELLINGTON, this day. Arrears' of Departmental work .haying been made up by the new Ministers, they are now engaged m preparing the annual estimates, which mus,t be ready for presentation -tfith the Financial Statement. This important document will not be placed before the House until the week; following Hhe resumption, for the Primo Minister has already outlined a programme to ikeep Parliament busy for the first week at least. The House meets on' Wednesday, when an. Imprest Supply Bill will be introduced. This gives wide opportunities for discussion. Questions will be answered, and notice given of the introduction of several" Government policy .measures. Thursday will be devoted to private members' business if members are prepared with the bills of iwhich they have given notice and on Friday the Government could get on with some of its own bills, if there was any time available after such formal business as' the setting up of sessional committees and go' on. Mr Massey could not say when the Financial Statement containing the Government's policy would be brought down, but it would probably be early m the week after Parliament resumed.
