Mr Stanton, Assistant Deputy Minister of Marine, "will 7&ul for England next week tx> represent Canada at a meeting that the Board of' Trade has convened for the purppsV of preparing new regulations under which passengers and crews of British sea-going ships will be guaranteed greater safety. The meeting, of. course, is one of the direct results of the- Titanic catastrophe, and will, it is hoped,', njean a complete revision of the - '; existing regulations, which are hoary with age. , Th' e Canadian marine laws are much the same, and whatever alterations are decided upon by the London -conference are therefore likely to be adopted by the Dominion.
