(Special to Herald.) AUCKLAND, this day. Speaking of his. future movements, Mr Mackenzie, the Prime Minister, said he intended to speak at Balclutha on the 4th. When talking the other day at Wyndham Mr Massey issued a challenge to the Prime Minister, which the latter has accepted with alacrity. The leader of the Opposition demanded that Mr Mackenzie should give his authority for the wajl of despair that a certain financial paper at Home had said was sent from New Zealand, and if he could not do so he should withdraAv and apologise. "Before 1 have finished," said the Prime Minister, "I think I will, have satisfied Mr Massey that I am not m the habit of using expressions that require apologies."
