SHELLED THE HOSPITAL
WASHINGTON, March 2,
The Turkish Embassy, in an official despatch, declares that during the recent engagement at Beyrout the Italians fired on the municipal hospital, which was flying the red cross. The Ottoman, Saloniki, and Chakal banks were also damaged by tlie Italian shells. One projectile was found at a distance of five Kilometres (three miles) from Beyrout, towards Mount Lebanon, an entirely opposite direction from the port.
