A BOY SUN GOD.
Further information has been received regarding the Mazdazan worshippers of Chicago who recently became notorious by taking a boy named Willie Lindsay, the son of; Mrs Lindsay., one of the. most devout members .. of .the. band, and . installing him/in their temple as their sun god.' The boy was recovered a few weeks ago, and in consequence of 'the methods adopted by the Mazdazans to increase the "divinity" of their god, Hanish, the high priest of th'e order, and Airs Lindsay. were charged before the Juvenile Court in Chicago with illtreating the- boy. Before the ,day set down for the hearing of the case arrived, however, Mrs Lindsay and her son had disappeared. It was 'stated that, the worshippers were again hiding their boy. god. and it can only be hoped that if his "divinity" is again undergoing development that some more substantial food' will be allowed him than the menu of white grapes and lager beer that was prescribed on the former occasion. Before the case was adjourned "His Humbleness the Rev. Ottoman Zar Adusht Hanish" was put into the witaess-box. ,. He •■' declared that he was of. royal lineage, .spiritually ...and genealogically, and was entitled to be ,ad-, dressed as "prince." A sister' of Mrs, Lindsay also #ave evidence.' She stated' I/hat Hanish;. had ■ convinced ' her' >sfster that she was ■•- a. French. - princess • and that Willie, was Louis XVL, the lost. Dauphin, while he was' the reincamyttton of Chmt, Mtiseg and Napoleort/ Hi© case .attracted -'some! attention and| the career of "His Humbleness" was; closely investigated. 'It .appears that he is an '•ex-Mormon and worked for a'i rear as-ia .compositor on the Desert News, ; ; the . official organ of .the Mornircs. Then he tried to form, a dissent-, ing branch of the Mormon Church and finally "started -the Mazdazanite movement. .'The charger against Hanish 1 stands over until, the lad is-found. - If Willie could, only be brought up. to obey *His Humbleness" financial bmefcts might accrue to that "prince," as quite recently ,the boy was left the comfortable fortune of £200,000, Hvhich one 1 day will'be' at his' unrestricted dis-' pOSal. li'MTi ~"-t: >; ..rr 1 ' r.t. •■.■;-•'.:•.■: ; ;■■ . ;-.
