Six hundred Liberals tendered a luncheon to the Premier at Covent Gardent to celebrate the Parliament Act. The Premier, in responding to the toast of his health, said he was hopeful of the strike being honorably settled. The Liberals had never pretended that the Parliament Act was an end 'in itself. It was only a 'means to other. ends.
